Happy Halloween from your friendly Michigan children's book author. Our chickens carved this jack-o-lantern, believe it or not! We simply peeled the areas we wanted them to peck, and then set the full pumpkin in their chicken coop. They pecked and pecked until nothing remained but this spooky face!
Here's a photo of my home for the next several months, until spring beckons me into the garden. I'm working on three new children's books in this cozy, chaotic closet-turned-art-studio, one with each of my children. My first book took more than six years to write and illustrate, so these may take a while, but it's been so much fun collaborating with my kids. Join my email list to be notified when the books become available!
I had the privilege of being accepted into the local author fair at the Chelsea District Library as part of the town's Sounds & Sights event. Unfortunately, Sounds & Sights had a poor turnout this week due to the heat and rain which moved most of the activities indoors. If you missed me in the library on Thursday, you can still find my books on Etsy: https://celinamariechase.etsy.com It was fun getting to know the other authors and handing out free coloring pages to the little ones who made it to the fair!
