New Books in Progress!

Here's a photo of my home for the next several months, until spring beckons me into the garden. I'm working on three new children's books in this cozy, chaotic closet-turned-art-studio, one with each of my children. My first book took more than six years to write and illustrate, so these may take a while, but it's been so much fun collaborating with my kids.

Last night, the Lima Township Board authorized the Planning Commission to put together a backyard chicken ordinance amendment, which will allow more residents (like me!) to be able to keep chickens. Once the commission comes up with the proposal, the board will then vote on whether to approve it.
